Ordinary Dis-Order

Welcome to Order Nary Life, a place where I try to tame the chaos of life. Join me in creating home-cooked meals that fill bellies and nourish bodies. Read along as I work out the best ways for my family to grow as I try to keep my wits intact and my house in order – all while working a full time job.

This welcome message is probably going to be the hardest for me to write. Give me a bunch of recipes to tweak, my field-tested organizational tips, and I’ll knock it out of the park. Talking about myself? Nope, doesn’t normally happen… well, here goes nothing:

A little bit about me: My name is Crystal. I’m a mother of a rambunctious toddler and wife to a wonderfully charismatic and supportive husband. I live in Newfoundland, a large island on the East coast of Canada. It takes 14-hours of driving and 6-hour ferry ride to get from the capital city (St. John’s) to the mainland. Needless to say, we don’t do that often.

I have a full-time career in the IT industry and I love what I do. The skills I use there lend well to, say, designing, writing and maintaining a blog. Just sayin’…

While I love what I do from nine-to-five, nothing’s more rewarding than seeing my family content, and I’d love to share that experience with you. I’ll be posting some of my family’s favourite foods, as well as a bunch of things I do to keep my home organized (I have to laugh at that, my house is a mess right now – but that’s kind of the point).

Thanks for joining me as I begin my journey toward a happier, healthier family. There may be Nary a sense of Order, but it’s our Life.

It’s our Order-Nary Life.
